SCHIZOPHRENIA? (21 june 2004)
This story is about my sweetheart's laptop computer. It was on the dinner table. Nothing special, you may think.
After she'd gone upstairs, I heard the sound of an old-fashioned alarm clock.
"Nothing special," you may say. Yes ... but we don't have any mechanical alarm clocks in the house.
After a while, I heard a voice.
Still you may think this was not exceptional. But would you still consider it normal if you knew I was the only one in the room? Besides, the sound came from the laptop computer.
Well, you may have some idea why a computer produces sounds of alarm clocks and voices. Anyway, I didn't.
But if you do, please write me here.
All I could think of was to install a fresh system on the computer.
And now the sounds have stopped.
Maybe that's what it's like to be schizophrenic. But then you can't just reinstall your system.
