Overtom's weblog

RECTIFICATION  (3 february 2004)

In my latest weblog I described how the supermarket of Dirk van den Broek lately only sold overpriced and tasteless olive oil of the brand Bertolli.

Today I received a message from Nicole Ketelaars, who writes on behalf of general manager R. Hermans, who writes on behalf of Dirk van den Broek about the reason why I didn't find Pont oil on their shelves.

To make a long story short: they have found a replacement for the overpriced and tasteless olive oil of Bertolli and they have assured me that the olive oil of Pont will return.

So Dirk van den Broek still proves to be a supermarket that tries to do its utmost to sell good quality products at low prices. And what I described in my last weblog was just a temporary problem. So Dirk, please accept my apologies.

But for the rest - I stick to my opinion that Bertolli is an overprized and tasteless brand, which has very little to do with the Italian atmosphere that the advertisements suggest.
